So what happens when you put cute girls together in a ping pong sport club? Well you get a pretty intensive sport anime.
The characters are pretty generic, there’s nothing too special that stands out for them other than the fact they are all passionate about ping pong and competitive to become the very best. If I was really honest, I can’t really remember their names of the bat, and had to look it up on MAL:” Tsumujikaze Koyori, a girl who loves ping pong, has just transferred to Suzumegahara Middle School. Along with her friends who strive to be the national champions” The charterers are very generic, maybe that was to save up time to explain their backstories.
We have the shy, but talented mc, tsundere but strong rival/love interest. (Yes I could be reaching, but there are always yuri tones in these shows) The loud and mascot of the team, the quiet girl, the returning senpai; the big chest mother of the group who are in a relationship with each other. Yes, shot me.
The music of the op and ending gets me pump. The way the scenes in the op shifts its frames to show the back and forth of the ball in matches. The ending is relaxing, it is like when you finish the match you can stop and relax. Okay, I love the matches in this anime, the way camera focus on the ball shifting between players. The animation maintain its quality throughout these shift, which is a plus.
The art style very cute; it has that charm that made me enjoy it the most, with a cute cast of enthusiastic characters the art style complements that feature well in many ways. Going between their moe mode and serious mode shifts when the match starts.
I loved this show to death; I want more, it was always the highlight of Mondays as it was cute and feel-good to watch. It doesn’t have a great story, but if you like cute girls playing and just want to relax, then watch this. It can’t compare to other more well received titles of this season, but it still hooked to the end.
