The fifth part of JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken has been greenlit, David Production returns as the anime’s studio with Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi in-charge for series direction, subtitled “Golden Wind,” the series will premiere this October.

The first season of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is truly epic. It’s not like your typical shounen anime where the story drags on too long and feels like its overstaying it’s welcome. The first two arcs seriously felt like an epic. Not like it’s overly awesome, I mean epic as in Beowulf vs Grendel. It’s really about a story of heroism and amazing manliness in the pages of a manga. The anime captured the appeal wonderfully as you witness Jonathan and Joseph Joestar duke it out with a bunch of immortal vampires. Continue reading

There are a lot of ways to adapt something. Shounen battle series tend to very quickly fall into a very dull variation of that: really slow pacing that goes on forever with long boring drawn out battles that all look like each other. David Production looked at them, and just said “we can do better!”
