Anime based on card games are nothing new; we have Yugioh, Buddyfight and Vanguard, but when you mix it with Chinese lore such as The Romance of the Three Kingdoms and you get an interesting take on it. I still don’t japan obsession with changing the characters in to girls and beautiful man Continue reading
So what happens when you put cute girls together in a ping pong sport club? Well you get a pretty intensive sport anime. Continue reading
Yes, it’s a story with a world war 2 setting where witches exist. Where the soldiers or generals of the minor Germania characters are the most villainous, devious and handsome. Continue reading
The story of this anime is very good, as a second season. It does not fail to entertain. The first arc deals with Osamu Dazai’s backstory in the Port Mafia. Immediately the watcher may notice that there is a significant switch in tone from the first season. The series has traded in it’s more comedic style of presentation for a darker one. Honestly, I love this change especially considering that the series is dealing with Dazai’s backstory, a much darker story line.
The second arc takes the watcher back into the heat of action that was occurring in the first season. I have not much to say on this part as it is simply just very entertaining and interesting to learn more about the characters I love in the first season.
I was so excited when I heard the news that they would be making another anime that was similar to Working! and I must say it’s just as enjoyable to watch. It is almost quite literally the exact same show, they’re in the same location (A different Wagnaria) but with new quirky and funny characters. It’s like I’m re-watching one of my favourite shows all over, and I love it.
WWW.Working!!! is a gag anime and nothing more, so it’d seem a bit over the top at points, but this is what it has going for it. Continue reading
I swear, what is it with anime and hapless single guys taking care of adorable little kids? Last season it was Sweetness & Lightning, and now we’ve got Poco’s Udon World. The theme of home-cooked meals returns to some extent, but now we’ve got a shape-shifting tanuki instead of a normal human kid. Sure, why not? Let’s throw a little fantasy into the mix and see what happens. Some people didn’t like Sweetness & Lightning because of the possible student and teacher. I don’t really care. Cute is justice in my book. Continue reading

Is anyone hyped for the third season? And here I thought we’d make it completely through the finals so the next instalment could completely focus on the national competition. But this is a sports anime! It needs to milk every step of the way up for its viewers’ agony. In my opinion, this season took everything good in the first season and added drugs to it.
Heavy Object is a 2015 Fall anime, which definitely caught my eye from the very first episode. Innovative in storyline, great in 3DCG, and most of all, enjoyable – that’s what I can tell after watching 8 episodes.
There are a lot of ways to adapt something. Shounen battle series tend to very quickly fall into a very dull variation of that: really slow pacing that goes on forever with long boring drawn out battles that all look like each other. David Production looked at them, and just said “we can do better!”
